Moonstones can be really helpful - sometimes there are items in the flea market that cost moonstones, there are tons of specialty items in the Mole Market for them, Custom Apparel (apparel users create and submit themselves) costs moonstones most of the time, and you can use them for various upgrades around the site. They're pretty much the premium currency of the site :)
Also, to reply to someone in the forums, you need to @ them. Like if you were gonna reply to me, you'd do @TmstrBlmstr. Gaia likely has no idea that you asked another question lol
