Overall, I enjoyed it! The length is nice, gives you plenty of time to at least get the soft retiring things (especially since the pebble path gave out the most expensive apparel set), love the changes to arena as a whole (no 30 minute long rounds, so nice), and the pebble path was cool in general! I liked having a thing to work towards.
It was a bit grindy, but not too grindy that it was a pain, and the length means you could take breaks in the middle and still get a lot.
Oh yeah, the lore was very neat! I have ideas for how to mesh it in with the lore I have in my head. Love the transcript. Very cool.
As for things I feel could improve-
- The apparel could be a bit cheaper. People are going to want to use multiple copies of those, and with some pieces being around the price of the more expensive companions doesn't sit well with me.
- Also, why were two of the soft-retiring companions more expensive? There was no difference other than visual; they have the same abilities and synergy. If they were more like the Brother Deer in the different abilities department I'd understand, but otherwise they don't need to be priced differently. None of the other pairs throughout the site are priced differently, at least not the ones for pure currency.
- They really, really should have increased the boss rate for the event. It was a pain to get the bosses to show up sometimes. I can easily go 3-4+ stamina bars without seeing a single boss. At least, if they don't want to mess with the normal boss's encounter rate, just make the event boss a bit more common. Alternatively, make the activities require less boss encounters.
- The focus of everything being for just the arena and campaign, and even then, it didn't feel like the ticket rate in the campaign was very good. Why not have tickets drop from activities and companion playing at the ms shard rate (and also drop from ww encounters? I didn't see one ticket drop from one of those)?
- Not to mention that it only being campaign and arena made it a little monotonous near the end; it can definitely do with having some other activities play into it in some way.
- Some of the other tasks could be toned down a bit. I did not enjoy the 0/60 combine arena pieces task at all (nor did I like how the arena ones specifically loved dragging on for me when I work it down to only 1-2 tasks being arena, but that's a whole different thing).
It was fun overall! But some tweaks could make it even better.
