I like this changes. Please, do this!
While I can understand some players will not be happy, I see some balancing is needed. In current state there actually is no need to cook complex recipes because we can sustain our activietes with only raw foods and grilled fishes to the point I don't even see complex dishes on the Flea Market. Why not? Because right now there is no point. With this changes cooking will became valid and I like it.
Raw foods and simple dishes like grilled fish shouldn't be as good as it is now.
I appreciate the more open discussion-type updates.
One thing to consider for the dev team is that they should be surveying the player base for issues/complaints on any given feature that is in the plan for fixing/revamping.
It should give a better idea of how to tackle an issue.
There are still multiple issues that lie unaddressed for cooking.
-Rush order is not particularly useful. The speed bonus is negligible and the pot size increase is not worth it.
-Consider rush order adding an additional cook timer to start after the original one finishes, effectively doubling your pot size.
-Cooking is very time-consuming for marginal food increases.
-Having multiple cooking steps is unsustainable for nonfrequent players with an unupgraded pot!
-Consider changing the first few pot upgrades to moonstones to make them more accessible and having more leeway in balancing cooking for more casual players. Consider greatly increasing the pot size for the later moonstone purchases.
-Having some in-between steps is fine, actually, but they need to be worth it!
-If stamina is not increased with cooking, consider increasing the food output instead.
-> 1 to 1 stamina cooked foods are wasted, 1:1 to stamina ratio is OK to avoid cascading stamina issues with later recipes, but it is bad by itself. Consider the previous idea of increasing the output on such foods instead to avoid stamina cascading on higher-tier food. Maybe you get two cooked potatoes from one and that would make it worth it to cook.
There are likely more things to consider and I'll also stop here because I am tired lol.
Thank you for bringing us this update.

This is such a drastic change to make, which is even more disappointing when it gives the impression that not much thought was put into this change.
This is something you'd change during beta. Not six months post launch when there are several other areas of the economy that desperately need attention.
Lorwolf should have never left beta if the devs plan to continue making drastic changes like this.
Have a blue and orange wolf? I might buy it!

While I'm very excited for new foods/recipes and to see how the existing recipes have changed (I've been experimenting with discovering new recipes and seeing what the old ones require) I'm admittedly really apprehensive and even disappointed at the prospect of certain food items potentially having their stamina stats reduced. I guess I've always had a surplus of food due to how frequently I tend my crops, shop in the market, and gather food items to feed my wolf horde, so I've only ever really been inconvenienced by the lackluster EXP gain from higher tier foods, but I do see some benefit to adjusting the cooking profession. I'm just really hoping we're not about to see any nerfing to the gray foods. That would only make things harder on newer players or those who have fewer resources to acquire more food, effectively hampering their progress. NO FOOD should replenish less than 5 stamina.
This. So much. Oh my god, unless you handle the balance extremely carefully, this will not go over smoothly with the (already relatively small) player base. This update appears to drastically negatively affect the players.
Exploring takes 5 stamina a turn. The lowest food should not be ever less than that. We shouldn't need to feed multiple items to take ONE turn of exploring :)
Don't do it.
I don't think nerfing raw/grey foods now and then adding 'better' foods later is a good idea, I'd prefer to have the nerf and improvements all at once.
