What Are Your Lorwolf Life Hacks?

We have a pretty good mix of power users and casual players in the community, and I'm curious to see what little tips and tricks people have to make things easier around here! I thought it would be fun to see if we could make a big list of advice. Things that are small enough that we wouldn't necessarily make a whole thread about that one thing, but it's still really good to know or something that may not actually be common knowledge.

For example, I'll usually take a Companion animal that awards XP if you play with them and put it on a puppy so that they're still working on levelling up (albeit quite slowly) even when they can't participate in the Campaign, Hunting, Gauntlet, etc.

One of the best things I figured out is that you can refresh the battle animations to save time, the only thing that’s being skipped is the animation, you still get any rewards and the win/loss! The most efficient foods seem to be cooked fish from cooking cooked meat in general, and broccoli from farming. I feel like I have more, I’ll post again if I remember!

I reload almost every single encounter in the campaign, it's truly a lifesaver! I need to figure out how to map it to one of my mouse buttons to make it even faster

If I'm farming activities and I'm actively playing, I'll go to the lowest level of the mines to farm copper instead of any of the other places I have access too. Granted I do have an enchanted pickaxe now, but I did this before getting one. Helps run through the mining tasks that occur often. As for fishing- I always pay Koda and collect 8 fish and do the lowest area for fishing (it's the only place that gives uncommon fish), and I'll usually have 15 fish. This makes this activity last more than an hour for me.

buy furlog deer and both types of kapura every time they are in the shop and put them on every single wolf you own. even ones youre going to sell or release. these companions have a one hour cool down so theyre easy to remove and play with often.

theyre so cheap at only 450 pebbles they pay themselves off in 2-3 plays and then they pay so good. Right now it costs me 42k pebbles to get nana to play with everyone and I get around ~78-85k back. its just about double every time. I never run out of pebbles now Ive bought every den slot. it was a real game changer

Two pebble companions will offset a frog companion entirely as well, so you will still get a net profit using Nana to babysit (at least once they are leveled up a little bit, level one companions not so much when they are spitting 30 pebbles at you). Frog swamp is the leveling meta, forget about leveling in gauntlet or campaign and wasting twice (or more) the stamina as usual, frogs take no stamina or personal effort. :P

Most campaign areas worth farming in only need a level 10 wolf & companion pair. Species doesn't seem to matter much once they are maxed, you won't take much damage in most of the low level areas, which can be the most efficient to farm in. Mid-higher level areas where you start to see groups of level 7's, it's beneficial to have something like a jocol/siphoning scratch companion pair, brachus have a low hp/defense stat comparatively and are more fragile.

Here's a couple funky questions to stimulate some more discussion;

Does anyone have any slick tips for fighting campaign bosses? It's almost certainly not worth the stamina investment at the moment to take multiple wolves into the campaign to roll encounters for them (unless you are specifically hunting those achievements I suppose), but if they ever get reward buffs to change that, it would be interesting to see what people's tactics look like.

And then-- are there efficiency breakpoints in lower levels of mining where it makes sense to use a lesser ore for a pickaxe and a higher tier ore for wheels, since the distance seems to scale more dramatically & those higher tier equipment pieces start using more bone paste and ores per item? Using iron picks and silver wheels in the lower-mid tier levels, that kinda thing.

have you ever noticed that gold tier wheels and pickaxes say level one on them? yeah you can use them O.o

I havent been able to find a five party of wolves that are able to beat a campaign boss. has anyone had any luck? (to add to this Ive been grinding murkwood sword 2 Southmarsh instead. getting colpach antlers to make the item. they sell for 5kp which is pretty good)

(Editing to ping @Vyler since i was reading through posts and realized I answered their question on accident xD )

My life hack is that I breed kits for fodder so I can train them to level 10 and release them. When going in campaign, I always go to the Western Barrens (third sword area for Goldsea). As low as level 2, a pack of 5 kits is capable of occasionally defeating the Vespin. At level 4 I've noticed it's almost guaranteed. At level 1 or 2 they can defeat the level 7 Brochs as well.

So, I use kits and spam the heck out of Western Barrens now lol. It helps towards several achievements, including the defeat bosses one and the "campaign with a full pack" one and a few others too (such as using stamina or feed all).

I need to knock out some of the boss fight + campaign with a full roster achievements but I have such a hard time parting with that much food. I know I have enough but it's so difficult for me to justify haha
