Fed up, The new wolf glared at the noble and snapped, “The entire marketplace is noisy, I’m not sure how you heard us over the sound of the rest of the marketplace. Of course it’s going to be loud, wolves are trading and trying to sell their items. Which means, using their voice.”

Another wolf scoots over with an apologetic expression.

"Sorry bout' that- Nig- er, Lady Nightfall. She's very full of herself and entitled and stuff. She used to be way nicer, but they say she ran into something in the forest that changed her forever. And she could actually hear you. Quite well. Rumor has it that her encounter made her senses go into hyperdrive, but I don't know. Anyway, I talk too much- my name is Vespera! I'm from Murkwood. Lady Nightfall is from Darkspine. Uh... nice to meet you!" She blinks at you nervously.

(A bit of background- Nightfall and Vespera are friends, but very different. One is emotionally unstable and always scared of everything and everyone because of a Torcine encounter when she was very young- which Vespera saved her from. And then the purple wolf is shy and kind and very mentally stable- unlike Nightfall.)

(Hope I'm allowed to have two characters, lol)

Yes, she can hear well, but I was barely speaking at all.” He laughs before continuing “Anyways, that confusing encounter aside, nice to meet you Vespera!”

(I really should probably name this “new wolf” haha)

"I don't know how she chooses her targets- but so far my theory of She Doesn't Like Nice Wolves is holding up! What's your name? Izzat what I'm supposed to ask? I don't know what I'm supposed to do- ack, socializing is complicated! Am I doing this right?" She turns in an agitated circle.

He laughs and says “You’re absolutely right, socializing is complicated. I’m Sol by the way.”

He suddenly gazed off into the distance for a moment before shaking his head and adding “Making she isn’t fond of kinder wolves because of the encounter she had in the forest, maybe someone acted kind and welcoming, but tricked her. So maybe she always associates kind wolves with bad news.”
