I have 29 knucklbone tokens. So I've encountered 29 WWs since I started and was unsuccessful at befriending any of them. I'd say I play a fairly moderate amount. I play some, at least, every day... Eh.. at least you actually get other stuff while campaigning.. If it was solely to find and friend WWs, that'd be so much worse..

Aw, hope your luck improves. It's pretty hit or miss. I got 3 or 4 at once the other day and otherwise often get none many days in a row.
