or do the wild wolf encounters seem waaaaay lower than they were before?

Like, I've explored ~500 times today and haven't gotten a single encounter, and since achievements were dropped, I've only encountered 5. I used to be able to encounter at least that amount per hour or two long grind session. Were the rates changed?

It's not just you, I have that feeling too. And I also have the feeling befriending a wild wolf is harder too.

I have 8782 explores, 88 ww encounters and 6 successes so far since the achievements dropped. So I'm a bit unlucky for successes but it seems the encounters are still 1% I think.

You can look at the achievement for scenarios done in campaign to see how many explores you have done.

It's been a minute since I've done exploration, but I haven't really noticed a chance. Last night, I got several. Before then, it was rather scarce. RNG just be that way I think

Okay, so I'm not imagining things. Because I had times when I'd get 2-3 wolf encounters on my first 20 explores.

I also haven't noticed any difference. I think in the past there have been announcements when the rates changed. It would be pretty untransparent not to do so, at any rate!

@Web you may be right, maybe I'm just seeing way more extreme variation, long periods without any encounter and suddenly 2, 3 or 4 within the same energy bar, then nothing again. While before, it very rarely happened for me to get multiple encounters in a same energy bar, something like an odd two encounters but never more and not that often.

But I'm pretty sure the befriending rate have been changed. Since the introduction of the KBs I've never brought any wolves home. (got 80 KB since the introduction) While before I got 2, and I played way less at the time.

Thanks @Quiche! And yes @DerpFox, I have 88 encounters and only 6 successes, so unlucky but not to far to say rates have changed. Idk what the total stats for everyone are though.

The encounter rate feels the same to me. (So far, anyways.) I've currently explored 1,318 times, had 9 encounters and befriended 1 WW.
