Folks I'm sorry to announce that it's over for everyone, the wolf show below has lost.
No idea how to do pictures but Sky won 2 weeks in a row. I feel bad for others who aren't placing so didn't put him in this week.

My wolf placed for the first time yesterday since achievements came out. I haven't been able to work any pattern to it, it's just totally random lol. No matter how the cake is sliced, the reality is that most wolves are not winners in the eyes of the Lorwolf pageant 😅. They're winners in our hearts
I also want to add that I don't think custom apparel are pay to win anymore. There are lots of ways to earn moonstones via playing the game, especially through achievements and selling pebbles, items, and wolves. Some CA are sold for pebbles.
My only "win" in the pageant so far is my progen lupin, who is really super plain. No apparel (at the time), no fun colors, yet he still placed 3rd. It all just depends what the people in your voting bracket that week prefer ^^ I know I personally never really vote for wolves that are too "cluttered" with items or if they have an item (like a crate of something, dirt etc) hiding the wolf behind it.
@Husky Thank you ! It's a funny thing really. I've since put wolves into it that I thought looked better than him, yet no one placed lol. I have one with a few apparels this time, including a CA, so I'm curious to see how she does (even if her customization isn't really done yet).
I finally placed for the first time in a loooong while. (Woo! Just 9 more times, then I can go back to not caring. lol Side note: I make an effort with voting for wolves I like; I'm just not fussed about how well my own wolves do.)
Wearing CA definitely isn't a guarantee for winning, at least in many of the pageants I've been in. This last one had 8 winners in my group, and half of them weren't wearing any apparel, let alone CA.
I think the past 3 weeks completely broke me in terms of pageant. I'm tired of only seeing wolf with CA win, with the random first row wolf being placed. I don't want to make any effort anymore, I'm putting in a random wolf I have and only for the top row from now on. What's the point of even trying if the pageant has become p2w. I don't even want to participate anymore, but I can't miss the weekly shards.Lol, my CA'd wolves aren't winning either. I've placed a whole once since late August. I'm starting to do the random pick thing myself as well because I'm just not willing to really put effort in picking anymore if I'm just gonna keep losing again and again no matter how pretty the wolf I put in was (I even stuffed in someone without CA and he lost too so I have no idea what is going on... maybe I just have bad taste haha).
Though tbh I'd hate it a lot less if it wasn't for the fact there are achievements for placing. I really wish there wasn't.
